We have a a very fun but very windy week at the grange. We are all set and looking forward to your visits starting next week. We will make sure we have a nice hot drink waiting for your arrival.
The horses are in fine form and have been out in the field actually enjoying the windy week. The vet has been up for a full inspection and they even behaved for him.
Our next project is under way…”The Trophy Room” We hope to have this ready soon and hopefully we can all fill it together! We have a full size snooker table ready in the trophy room incase you fancy a game while visiting.
Here’s a few of my fancies for over the weekend…enjoy the Racing!
An interesting week of racing with the good news that the grand national is defiantly the target for the hero in tiger roll, however he will have to carry a further penalty of 11st10lbs allowed to his 11st 5lbs last year. Michael O’Leary has made it clear that he is not happy with the handicapper giving him a mark of 171. He runs at Navan this Sunday in the “Ladbrokes Ireland Boyane Hurdle” over 2m5f, the race he won last year at odds of 25/1. Gordon Elliot has made it clear that this is a prep run for him before he goes to the cross country at the Cheltenham festival then onto the national.
On Saturday it’s interesting racing at Lingfield with Kachy returning to the track. He runs in the 2.35, he is short in the betting market at around 4/5 but I personally think he’ll be hard to beat as he is on the campaign to the all weather champions day on good Friday!
Cyrname returns to action after his disappointing 2nd in the King George on Boxing Day when being 21 lengths behind stablemate Clan Des Obeaux. Returning to ascot where he has won his last three races and a slight break since Boxing Day should have him right to be back in the winners enclosure depending on a good round of jumping. He’s too short at 2/5 to interest me in a bet.
HARRY’S BET
KACHY + CYRNAME
Double pays 1.52/1 with William Hill.
Good luck Thanks Harry Easterby
