Golden Duke Y3

Golden Duke was born on April 10th 2019 at Tally-Ho Stud, Ireland. We first saw Golden Duke in the spring of 2021 at the Breeze up sales in Newmarket. After impressing on his breeze we were lucky enough to bring him home after. We sent him to Nigel Tinkler, based at Langton near Malton in North Yorkshire where he would begin his racing career. It took Golden Duke a few runs to learn his game but on his 5th start he broke his maiden tag winning a nursery handicap in emphatic style at Kempton on the August of 2021. We always knew he was going to be a horse who would get better with age due to his immaturity and coltish behaviour. In 2022 he got a second win to his name when he flew home late to beat the late Queen Elizabeth II owned Distant Light in a photo finish at Leicester in June. He had a very good 2022 being in the top 3 on 6 occasions. In January of 2023, Golden Duke had an accident in the paddock cutting his back right leg, this meant he had to have a significant amount of box rest which meant for a belated start to his season. As always it takes Golden Duke a couple of runs after a break to get back to his A-Game, on June 30th we went to Doncaster and he won coming from last to first at the odds of 33/1 giving his owners a great day at the races. Golden Duke is a very consistent horse with a lovable personality, when he’s on his breaks he is the most caring friendly horse you will ever meet. Going forward into 2024 I believe he can improve again giving his owners some great days out at the races.

How is my share payment broken down?

The share price is £65. There will be nothing extra to pay, no matter what costs are incurred during the syndicate period. The capital cost for Golden Duke including commission, transport, and vetting is £15.25 per share. The capital risk is £2.50 per share. Our current management fee is set at £21.25 per share. The all-inclusive racing/training cost is set at £10 per share. The cost for mortality insurance is £2 per share. The Cottam Grange Rehabilitation contribution is £1 per share. The VAT is £13 per share. *All fees based on estimated cost excluding the capital risk. No extra cost will be incurred by the customer.

1- All shares are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
2- No additional payments will be requested in relation to the horse during the prescribed syndicate period, regardless of any costs incurred by The Racing Emporium.
3- Race prize money won by the horse or proceeds from the sale of the horse are divided equally in accordance with the number of shares owned.
4- All owners will receive a monthly email keeping them updated on the progress of our horses.
5- All owners will be posted a share certificate within approximately 3-5 days of purchasing a share.
6- Stable visits will be available and can be booked via an online booking form, which is free for an owner to attend.
7- The Racing Emporium is a Ltd business.
8- Shares can only be registered to an individual aged 18 or over. A share can NOT be registered in the name of more than one individual.

This syndicate lasts until 1st December 2024. At the end of the syndicate period, you can choose to renew for a further term or we will attempt to sell your share for you. There really is no obligation whatsoever after the initial fee. This syndicate is divided into 4,000 shares and each share costs £65 (including VAT). There will be nothing extra to pay, no matter what costs are incurred during the syndicate period. The syndicate is subject to the usual ‘The Racing Emporium’ terms and conditions. The current maximum number of shares that can be purchased by one person is 10.
