Golden Duke was born on April 10th 2019 at Tally-Ho Stud, Ireland. We picked him up from the Craven Breeze up sales in Newmarket as a two year old after posting a very good time but also looking like a horse who had plenty of potential. We decided to send him to Nigel Tinkler as a two year old and he was successful winning in an impressive manner at Kempton. We expected him to improve as three year old, and indeed he did, in 2022 he managed to finish in the top three a total of six times bringing his shareholders unbridled joy. His highlight of 2022 was at Leicester in June when he beat the Royal runner in a photo finish jumping the finishing line getting up in emphatic style.
