Sir Bobby, born on May 2nd, 2022, joined us as a foal in the winter of that year. From the moment he arrived, he quickly became a fan favourite thanks to his charming personality and natural will to please.

He is by the stallion Massaat, a Group 2 winner who has proven himself a successful sire, notably producing the 2025 Queen Anne Stakes winner, Docklands. Many of Massaat’s best progeny excel over a mile. Sir Bobby’s dam, Alaskan Bay, was a dual winner herself and is by Kodiac, a stallion with an outstanding record as a damsire, with his daughters producing top-class performers such as Charyn, Powerful Glory, and Believing.

When Sir Bobby arrived at Cottam Grange, he was quickly nicknamed “Bobby.” The official name “Sir Bobby” was later chosen by a landslide vote. He was officially named just after the passing of the late Sir Bobby Charlton.

Physically, he was a slow-maturing type who benefited from plenty of time to grow and strengthen before stepping up his training regime. In 2025, he really came into his own, developing into a well-balanced, athletic horse with a strong physique and a fantastic attitude to his work.

Sir Bobby is trained by Seb Spencer in Malton, North Yorkshire. He is set to race through the winter of 2025 and into the spring and summer of 2026, and we look forward to what we hope will be a very successful first season for him

If you are purchasing shares for more than one person, make sure that you create separate orders so that we can transfer the shares individually to the appropriate recipients.

How is my share payment broken down?

The share price is £55. There will be nothing extra to pay, no matter what costs are incurred during the syndicate period. The capital cost for Sir Bobby including commission, transport and vetting, is £10.25 per share. The capital risk is £2.50 per share. Our current management fee is set at £10.25 per share. The all-inclusive racing/training cost is set at £10 per share. The cost for mortality insurance is £6 per share. The Cottam Grange Rehabilitation contribution is £5 per share. The VAT is £11 per share. *All fees based on estimated cost excluding the capital risk. No extra cost will be incurred by the customer.

1- All shares are sold on a first come, first served basis.
2- No additional payments will be requested in relation to the horse during the prescribed syndicate period, regardless of any costs incurred by The Racing Emporium.
3- Race prize money won by the horse or proceeds from the sale of the horse are divided equally in accordance with the number of shares owned.
4- All owners will receive a monthly email keeping them updated on the progress of our horses.
5- All owners will be posted a share certificate within approximately 3-5 days of purchasing a share.
6- Stable visits will be available from December 2025, which are free for an owner to attend.
7- The Racing Emporium is a Ltd business.
8- Shares can only be registered to an individual aged 18 or over. A share can NOT be registered in the name of more than one individual..

This syndicate lasts until 1st January 2027. At the end of the syndicate period, you can choose to renew for a further term or we will attempt to sell your share for you. There really is no obligation whatsoever after the initial fee. This syndicate is divided into 4000 shares and each share costs £55 (including VAT). There will be nothing extra to pay, no matter what costs are incurred during the syndicate period. The syndicate is subject to the usual ‘The Racing Emporium’ terms and conditions. The current maximum number of shares that can be purchased by one person is 10.
