Miss Unexpected

On the 3rd of April 2023, Bea Ryan surprisingly gave foal to a healthy filly by great sire, Zoustar. We originally thought that she had lost the foal in the early stages of her pregnancy, however, due to a false scan she happened to be in foal the whole time bringing us the best surprise of our lives. It is a true miracle how she managed to give birth on her own and both mare and foal being fit and healthy. Bea Ryan is a well bred filly who cost 75,000 guineas as a yearling in 2016, she is by the sire Dream Ahead. Bea was successful on the track being an impressive winner the last time she ran. Mares by Dream Ahead have some very good results when visiting Zoustar, notably the Australian horse, Lightsabre who has won multiple group races and also the high class, Zoology in the UK. Our daughter of Zoustar will be kept at Cottam Grange until December 2024 which is when she will be sent off to be broken in and learning the first steps in being a racehorse. From then on she will go into training where we hope she can follow in her family’s footsteps in becoming a successful racehorse. She is a cheeky character who has a very inquisitive view towards life, physically she’s very well put together and is a beautiful moving filly when she’s turned out into the paddock. By owning a share in this filly you will be invited to come visit her at a hospitality day at Cottam Grange, you will receive weekly updates as well as a welcome pack with a certificate and all the information you need to know. When she runs on the racetrack you will have the opportunity to apply for an owners and trainers ticket.

How is my share payment broken down?

The share price is £75. There will be nothing extra to pay, no matter what costs are incurred during the syndicate period. The capital cost for Your Filly including commission, transport and vetting is £15.25 per share. The capital risk is £2.50 per share. Our current management fee is set at £21.25 per share. The all-inclusive racing/training cost is set at £20 per share. The cost for mortality insurance is £2 per share. The Cottam Grange Rehabilitation contribution is £1 per share. The VAT is £13 per share. *All fees based on estimated cost excluding the capital risk. No extra cost will be incurred by the customer.

1- All shares are sold on a first come, first served basis.
2- No additional payments will be requested in relation to the horse during the prescribed syndicate period, regardless of any costs incurred by The Racing Emporium.
3- Race prize money won by the horse or proceeds from the sale of the horse are divided equally in accordance with the number of shares owned.
4- All owners will receive a monthly email keeping them updated on the progress of our horses.
5- All new owners will be posted a share certificate within approximately 3-5 days of purchasing a share.
6- Stable visits can be booked via our website when available, and are free for an owner to attend.
7- The Racing Emporium is a Ltd business.
8- Shares can only be registered to an individual aged 18 or over. A share can NOT be registered in the name of more than one individual..

This syndicate lasts until 1st December 2025. At the end of the syndicate period, you can choose to renew for a further term or we will attempt to sell your share for you. There really is no obligation whatsoever after the initial fee. This syndicate is divided into 4000 shares and each share costs £65 (including VAT). There will be nothing extra to pay, no matter what costs are incurred during the syndicate period. The syndicate is subject to the usual ‘The Racing Emporium’ terms and conditions. The current maximum number of shares that can be purchased by one person is 10.
